Digitization concepts for smart schools

The “Smart Schools – SMASCH” project was initiated at the beginning of 2021 as part of the Centre for Digitization and Technology Research (dtec.bw). The aim of the project is to work on sustainable and pedagogically meaningful digitization concepts with schools from Hamburg and the region of Brussels, and support their research-informed implementation. Thereby the project focusses on the individual organizational context of each school to support a self-reflexive, demand-oriented and creative engagement with the chances and risks of digitization in educational settings. Accordingly, schools should be supported in dealing with the opportunities and risks of digitalization in a self-reflective, needs-based and creative way. Combining professional coaching and specific intervention, the schools collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve a mid- and long-term, mature attitude towards digitization.
